Downsell Primary School - Granite Sphere Water Feature Tills Innovations Ltd was nominated by the Kier Group to supply a granite sphere water feature for the newly built primary school in London. The water feature brief was to create a simple sculpture with a water element to give movement and interest for the children and the parents alike. At the same time the design had to meet an educational theme within the wide ethnic community and children in the surrounding area; it had to be a design that brought them all together. The perfect solution was a solid granite sphere 1000mm in dia with the simplicity of water flowing over the sphere using water surface tension. It met with the brief of viewing from all sides and with the world being engraved it gave both the educational theme and was of interest to all. Using the schools corporate colour we provided an inlay outline of the continents and the school name. The water feature incorporated lighting within the stone sets and was a total design and build for Tills Innovations Ltd giving a complete solution for the Keir Group. We now provide a full maintenance program for the water feature through Kier Managed Services ltd. and bustle of day to day life and explore a whole new area. |
